Chapter Sixteen

Since Henry wasn’t at his place, I drive over to what was formerly his father’s swanky beach house. The lights are on inside, and apparently, he’s having a party since there are so many cars parked in the circular driveway that I have to park down the street and walk back.

“Stay out here,” I order the officers in the patrol car when they both open their doors to climb out. “I can take care of myself.”

“We won’t go inside, but we’ll need to stay right outside the residence,” the driver says as he slams his car door.

“Fine,” I mutter. Guess it’s better to be safe than sorry in case the witch killer is following me around.

I hear the loud music before I get to the front door that’s standing wide open. I walk right inside, only recognizing a few of the dozens of people milling about with red cups of what I’m assuming is alcohol in their hands. Most of them are big, tan, and with golden hair.

Werelions.

And there are definitely more females than males.

Some of the women give me evil looks before going back to ignoring me. There are a group of three muscular guys standing just outside of what was Theodore’s office/library watching something going on inside.

“Excuse me,” I say as I wedge myself between the much larger guys to get a look.

And wow, it’s the last thing I was expecting.

Henry is seated in the throne-like chair in front of a bookcase, blindfolded while a woman sits on his lap kissing him and touching him everywhere while he does the same to her, spending extra time squeezing her tits.

They’re at least both still fully clothed, although her tiny skirt and halter top barely cover any part of her. You can tell by the bulge in Henry’s pants that he’s so excited he’ll probably be taking their clothes off any second.

“So?” the woman leans back and asks when she stops eating his face.

“Amelia?” Henry guesses. His swollen, red lips quirk up at the corners with an arrogant smirk that’s so unfamiliar to me I start to think he must have an evil twin.

“Oh my God, no!” the woman says indignantly with a huff as she climbs off his lap. “I’m Mabel, and I’m not even half the size of that cow Amelia!”

“Hey!” another, curvier woman exclaims from a staggered line of tall, beautiful blondes.

“Well, it’s true,” Mabel says as she returns to the waiting women. A different woman then struts forward. She runs her long, blue manicured fingernails up Henry’s thighs as she leans forward to whisper something in his ear before straddling his lap.

“You can’t talk to him! That’s cheating!” a fourth blonde bimbo declares. Or maybe it’s the first one again, Mabel. I can’t tell. It’s like they’re all clones or something.

And if I have to watch another fucking second of their stupid little game, I’m going to pull my knives from the holsters and stab the pointy end through all of them!

Henry suddenly lifts his face and sniffs the air to his left, away from the random woman trying to make out with him.
